Okay. There is now a new geometry section up on the website. Take a look at it and let me know if there are any mistakes or if I need to add anything to it. I put a section on ellipses in this section instead of making a separate pre-cal section.

you have another formula on your website, but this one is the one i use, i am more comfortable with it.
Yes, your formula does indeed work. I have never seen it before but it produces the same result. Definately go with what you are most comfortable with.
I myself prefer the triangular numbers. To me it makes sense so it is easier for me to remember. Plus, after working with triangular numbers so much, I can know the answer almost immediately without even thinking about the problem. But that is why I love number sense. There is always more than one way of doing something.
