Some UIL District scores are up...

to go texasmath or official UIL site to find out the scores, ns scores looks terrible so far in general...worse than last year. but of course, Azle ,PSJA memorial, and other top-guns haven't competed yet and it's way too early to say anything.

good luck, don't be nervous...

Yeah, Azle's team is just unfair. Have you seen the region with that girl that got a 320 in science? She only missed 5 questions... I give up. The Ns scores are pitiful. I think the top score so far is a 135... I wonder why. Anyway... What would y'all recommend in terms of trying to make people care about NS? I mean, I have just recently put together a bad team. What do you think will get them up to speed the fastest? Should I have them learn the tricks from the invite tests? I need them to score about 100 each to win. Any suggestions?

...at least you have a team, despite the fact that it's bad...i don't even have a team, ppl are too lazy to learn the tricks and practice them. after all, ns is an acquired skill, the only way to let it become a part of you is through practice, practice and practice, i don't know what to tell you, for i don't know how dedicated are your teammates, if they aren't motivated, just give up, because if they don't have the determination and endurance, they'll never succeed. if you want them to get around 100, just teach them a few basic tricks and tell them to never go beyond the 1st column unless they are 100% sure that they'll get the others right, normal ppl should be able to score around 100 if they take all 10min to work 20 problems out.

good luck

Thanks man. Thats some good advice now that I think about it... I remember at the last meet we went to, everyone that scored under me (way under me) had an average score of about a 45 or so... Every last one of them had gone through 30 questions and had failed horribly in the 20-35 range. I bet I can get them to score at least a 90, so they have room for one error in the first 20, and we should sweep district, given that I score a 200 or so. Thanks Quincy! What district were you in last year for 5A?
