Vinay again; aside from being in UIL, i'm in decathlon, and no one in the class knew how to do these two geometry problems. I figured either Quincy or Mr. Jones would be able to.

So, the above figure is for the next two questions. Figure 1 is for question 1, etc.

1. Segment AB is the diameter of a circle with area 4(pi).  BC = 2 and         EC = 3. What is DE?

The answer is 1

(On this one, I haven't been able to get any farther than determining that AB is 4, and the radius is 2; just basic stuff)

2. Measure of angle ACD = 14 degrees

measure of arc AD is 44 degrees

Measure of arc BE is ?

the answer is 16 degrees.
