Brad, not being able to meet you was one of the biggest disappointments on my trip. I actually mistakenly stayed in the 5A award ceremony for a little bit because I didn't know they changed the 4A one's location. We were that close to meeting each other.
So how did you do? Zack and I had a wonderful time, though. We both placed and won some money. Did you?

Best Wishes

NS - 400... yeah
Calc - 275
math - 288
sci - 254

It was pretty cool to finally match faces with the names i always see on texasmath.org results. I was, like you, dissappointed that we couldn't meet up ... I wanted to go to the 4A awards but since they were all at the same time I couldn't
We'll have to meet up @ UIL state

Lol, 4A's ceremony was a lot shorter I bet. I surmise that you guys were still in the ceremony when I'd already driven out of town. I heard the 5A announcer read the top 10 out with every scores--that'd take a LONG time. Nevertheless, I sure will see you at State.
Anyway:
NS-78/5-345-1st; skipd 2, includg the "happy number" one--now I'll remember what it is.
CA-65/21-178-10th; first time trying all crunchers first. I'm pretty happy with this score. My TI-83 and my right index finger didn't fail me today.
MA-60/6-312-1st; missed #1, lol--did 120-125-5=-10.
SC-38/7-172; I guess flipping thru a pre-AP physics book the night before did help a bit(yeah, our school has no Physics AP class nor textbook).

Congrats on the 400! How much time did you have when you finished? How many others got 400?
Oh yeah, meant to ask you for quite some time, to/into what colleges have you applied/been accepted?

Best Wishes

That's a good math score... i thought math was pretty hard/slow compared to what I was expecting. Seeing all of the people in my region with huge math scores made me realize that I'll probably be @ state for.. 10 minutes only :P

On NS, i finished the first page in about 2:50. I started the 4th column with 5:20 or 5:30 elapsed... skipped the one about the x to y ratio, came back to it and finished with about a minute left. The other high scores in 5A were a 364 and three 337s
I'm a junior, no college applications yet

NS: 189   54/9    I'm rather disappointed in this score. I went way too slow to be that inaccurate. I'll be faster come region and district. I'm starting a regimented practice schedule that includes a 3 tests before bedtime requirement. I think that if I can just get to where I dont double check myself as I do the problems that I should be fine. Getting to 65+ is my goal on district. I dont even care about accuracy, cuz I'd have to miss 20 questions to not get 1st place in that case. And if I do retain some sort of accuracy in me during that test, I'll score 240+, which is right around where I want to be in NS. I think that overall in 4A I would've gotten 12th with that 189. Thats not good enough, especially considering the fact that all of the FB team beat me. Doh! I guess I dont have much to complain about though, especially since I came away with a 4th place green trophy for the Senior division.

CA: 231 70/17   I am VERY pleased with this result. It was more than unexpected. I've NEVER gone over 200 in competition, and never over 221 in practice. I hope that I can improve in this area, because if I can repeat this performance at region, I should be able to go to state! Not only that, but juding by past results, I might even be able to break top 6 in state calculator. Man, I love being in 4A. Even though this was my best test ever, two people from Pine Tree bested my score, and I got 3rd. I did, however, beat all the FB people. I hope I can do that again come region.

MA 156 34/6   Pathetic. Utterly pathetic (6th place in seniors). I can do those problems, I really can... I dont know why I skipped so many easy problems, or why I got 6 of the ones I did do wrong. I'll fix this, I promise you both. I think some practice UIL tests will do me well here.

SC 154 30/13.   Chemistry and Physics ate me alive. I was retarded on this test too... There were some easy Physics problems that I thought on the surface were harder than they really were. I'm still kicking myself over this test, but it'll help me to study harder for the three tests to come. 4th place here, which was enough to boost me to 3rd place overall. Yay! $900 is the strangest scholarship amount that I've ever seen! BUT I'll GLADLY TAKE IT!

So yeah, TMSCA STATE was a blast. Micheal and Sam are the coolest in person. Sam, I thought that was soo cool when you took over the microphone and called out Micheal Gummelt's name for overall top gun. Everyone in the auditorium seemed to think that you were awesome for doing that. BUT, you didnt stop there, you threw me and Micheal into a headlock in our top gun photo as well! Haha. Man, I wish I hadn't been feeling so sick throughout the day. We could've gotten into much crazier antics. I guess we'll have to wait and do that at UIL Region this year. Until then, I'll work to make sure that I'll be able to follow you into state in my math events as well!

Zack

LOL, the headlock. You guys don't know how much it means to me to PHYSICALLY overcame two OUTSTANDG athletes, however brief the moment was---just kidg. I felt an extreme honor to be able to announce Michael's name because Mrs. Griffin was on the verge of sobbing since she was overwhelmed with elation. The idea just came to me, and I executed it without ever thkg about it, lol. But again, it was an honor, it truly was. By the way, I don't rem holding a microphone; I thk Mrs. Griffin was still holdg it, lol.

Zack, don't let yourself down(I know you won't). You were sick and remember you had absly NO SLEEP. Yet, you did marvellously in CA. I knew you cd beat me in SC, so SC result was to me quite a shocker. But you were so close and I knew you had it in you. As to MA an NS, I'm extremely intimidated with your plan and will keep considerg you as a major rival. But friendship always comes before rivalry and competition.

Brad, lol, sorry man, I knew you were a junior but temporarily forgot. What school are you lookg for then? Or is that a stupid question, lol?

Ha, only if Mr. White would let go of his job--it seems to me that he's enjoying his job more than ever, but,
YOU GO, BRAD!
