How do i solve these questions:

1)  If f (x) = 2x^2-3x + 4, then f ' (-1)= CONFUSED!! confused

2)  If h(x) = 1 + 2x^2-3x^3, then h "(4) = EVEN MORE CONFUSED confused confused confused

Please make sure you understand not just the shortcut version of differentiation, but also (in fact more importantly) how derivatives came about.
