Hey. I'm in the 10th grade and I take the NS test and my scores range from about 150 to 170. I would LOVE to get my scores into the 200 range, but....my school is very small and we don't have many resources. Could someone give me some advice on how to get my score up.
if you really want to up your NS score fast, start taking at least 3 NS tests a day. Make sure you're figuring out all the ones you missed/ones that took you a long time.
there's a bunch on the Download section of www.texasmath.org Also go to www.academicmeet.com That's a website by Dr. Numsen, who writes good tests consistently and persistently. Get an order form, and the annual packet of 120-130 tests is $100. Those are the tests I do. But of course, Texasmath has a LOT of tests, and those after 2002-03 are by Mr. White, the current UIL state coordinator and test writer. But, the tests before 02-03, all by Don Skow, are very good too. Texasmath tests are free, so try that out first.
lol, my bad, Texasmath's NS tests goes WAY back. Don Skow might have started in the mid80s, but i don't know for sure. Mr. White uses a few different shortcut, but overall Skow's tests are beneficial.
